Blitz Temperance Abrams (ブリッツ・Ｔ・エイブラムス, Burittsu T Eiburamusu), more commonly known as Lucky Abrams, is Klaus's mentor and a world-renowned vampire hunter. His nickname is the result of the many curses placed on him by enemies that he has made over the years. Whether it's due to sheer luck or the curses counteracting each other, Abrams has never actually been harmed by them. However, countless people have fallen victim to the curses in his stead, which has left him to be rightly feared by some of his colleagues at Libra.
He is voiced by Akio Otsuka in the anime, and by Mark Stoddard in the English dub.
Appearance[]
Abrams is a tall older man with short black hair, mustache, and goatee, typically dressed in a suit and tie under a brown overcoat.
Personality[]
Outwardly jovial for the most part, he seems entirely unaware why people go out of their way to avoid him, and can come off as insensitive, such as when he chastised Leo for damaging an eye, telling him to "sacrifice an arm" next time. Despite this, whenever it comes to the job at hand, he becomes decidedly more serious and cold, going so far as to threaten Deldro Brody with coagulation when the latter attempts to threaten him.
History[]
Some time after Klaus von Reinherz was bitten by a Blood Breed, Klaus and his brother Gabriel trained under Abrams and learned the Brain Grid Blood Battle Technique. Abrams became Klaus's mentor.
Plot[]
Bloodline Fever
In the official series, Abrams is called in by Klaus after Leo reveals he saw a Blood Breed Elder in the Hellsalem's Lot Subway, his arrival in Hellsalem's Lot heralded by a plane crash.
Running into Zapp and Leo in the street, his accumulated curses cause a massive road-accident that injures one of Leo's eyes, much to Abram's shock once he is informed, after reuniting with Klaus, that the boy possesses the 'Eyes of the Gods'.
After treating Leo's eye, he tries to have him read the list of names being guarded by the severed hand of a Blood Breed he brought with him. Shortly after, they travel to the metro, where he has Leo gaze into the Beyond to confirm the presence of vampires. When Klaus goes to seal the elder, he accompanies him and aides in rescuing Stephen and K.K.
Pandorum Asylum Phapsbody/The Tremorous Blood Hammer.
Abrams and Klaus are seen at Wonderland prison, attempting to have Doug Hammer and Deldro Brody released into their care to help stop the latter's former lover. While reuniting with Doug, Deldro attacks Abrams and threatens to rip his arm off, only to for Abrams to threaten to inject Brody with coagulant. He later visits Doug in the hospital.

- Arcane Knowledge: Abrams is fairly knowledgeable about the arcane, as he was able to devise a custom eyepatch to help heal the damage done to Leo's injured right eye and has detailed knowledge of the curses used by the Elder Blood Breed.
Unique Abilitiesabou[]
- Supernatural Luck: While he has yet to display any notable combat abilities, Abrams is widely regarded as the world's greatest Fang Hunter, and is said to have killed countless Blood Breeds over the years. As a result, the entire species has cursed him to the point said curses cancel each other out. This leads to probability and luck operating extremely oddly around him at all times, always to Abrams's benefit and often to the detriment of both his enemies and allies. Examples include but are not limited to random automobile accidents, an airplane exploding for no reason, and even meteor showers.
Creation and Development[]
Oneshot[]
In Yasuhiro Nightow's original oneshot, a figure resembling Abrams is seen a flashback speaking to a crucified Klaus von Reinherz, who has reached Level 12 of the Blood Breed curse. He offers Klaus the chance to turn his life around, warning he may die in attempt. As Klaus later became a Fang Hunter, it can be assumed Abrams is also an agent of the Vatican's Jagtkreuz division.

- A tweet from the Official Kekkai Sensen Twitter account reveals that Abrams is 189 centimeters tall (6'2") and weighs 80 kilograms (176 pounds).
